Claw-type chain shortener

Claw-type shortener

Steel claw-type shortener for chains is not an end element. It is used to adjust the length of the chain of the chain sling. It is selected in accordance with the size of the chain and the carrying capacity of the sling leg. Fixing the chain at the desired length is done by placing the chain link in the claw-type clamp. This type of shortener is more reliable than the hook-type shortener, since during operations, the chain does not break, as in the case of the hook-type shortener. Characteristics: 4th safety margin for tearing (8th strength class), has a jaw joint system. Using components of the 8th strength class produced by TOR Industries Company makes it possible to reduce the weight of the sling while maintaining the rated reliability parameters.
